Ribbons and media are easy to load, and you can choose ribbon side ink or ink side. A media sensor system offers greater flexibility for a variety of media and applications. A head release switch initiates automatic calibration for more precise printing. Multiple communication interfaces include parallel (CP-2140), RS-232, USB and optional Ethernet (CP-2140E).
The CP-2140 prints at a resolution of 203 dpi and 5ip. Standard memory includes 4 MB Flash and 8 MB SDRAM. The printer has a modular design for easy maintenance and print noise is minimal. The Windows 7 Operating System supports 1D / GS1 Data bar, 2D / Compound codes, QR barcodes, and Windows TrueType fonts.
